After we had done this and taken a few steps, then Drippy popped up all, "Hey, Oliver, don't you think it is dark in here? You should use your magic to create light! Geez, do I have to tell you everything?" Thanks Drippy. So, we used the "Magic Lamp" spell to have Oliver light the way. Like, "Come on, Oliver, make with the magic, mun! You think the spells are going to cast themselves?"įor a specific example, we got to one part of the game where there wasn't enough light to see. Even when complimenting Oliver, he needs to somehow make it backhanded or insulting. Drippy is still constantly nasty and condescending to Oliver. Even after everyone is supposedly friends, and after Oliver has established himself as a skillful wizard, and after all swearing to look out for each other. While this treatment might make sense during the early part of the plot, Drippy does not let up on Oliver one iota during the course of the game. Because of this, Drippy is very condescending and insulting to Oliver as he serves the function of tutorial fairy. When Drippy first meets Oliver, Oliver is understandably confused, and asks a lot of questions that Drippy perceives as being dense.
And he has to berate you in the process of giving you this answer you never wanted! Yet, somehow, whenever we have to decide to do something, the game keeps giving us the answer to everything through Drippy, and not because we asked.
HOW DO I MAKE CHEESE NI NO KUNI FULL
And so it seems to be in Ni no Kuni, considering that now we have a full party, many familiars, a whole library of spells, and access to several virtues. Normally, at this point, you're way past the tutorial mode. Usually, in games, when you're given the ability to quick-travel around, it's like the game is giving you the keys and trusting you to know what you're doing. Hand-holding and berating Maybe don't help quite so much.
